Download the new application build provided by GEO Jobe GIS Consulting onto the machine that is currently running the application..
Temporarily STOP the service being replaced (no uninstalling is required). You can do this by going to your start menu in windows and searching “services” to access the services app.
From there, you can find your previously running Backup My Org service. To stop the service right click the service name in the index and choose “Stop Service.”
Backup your current Directory of Backup My Org by renaming the folder (_old, _date, etc.)
Unzip the contents of the NEW build, and replace the previous file location, its name and respective installation directory is the same as the previous version.
For Backup My Org, recover the original “scheduled” folder , (if any settings changes were made), the
nodeconfig.json
file, and If if any cert and key information were used for https access, those will need to be recovered as well.
RESTART the service that was temporarily stopped in Step 2.
Access your application via the your localhost environment and port or OR the URL previously designated. It should now be running the updated version.
