The View Item Dependencies tool is only available in for AdminTools Pro and AdminTools for ArcGIS Enterprise.
The View Item Dependencies tool is not available in AdminTools Basic
There are two easy ways to view an item’s dependencies.
The first is by using the dedicated tool: “View Item Dependencies”
1. From the Home Screen, click on the “Workflows” tab.
Click on the tool: “View Item Dependencies”
A table will appear. Find the item(s) in question by applying any number of custom filters, and then select the item(s) whose dependencies you wish to view.
Then click “Next” in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
In this instance, the three items selected were “BriceTest” (Feature Service), “Web Layers Share Test” (Web Map), and “Public sharing test” (Web Map).
You will then be taken to a screen that will show each Item and its dependencies.
You can see that in this particular instance, Web Layers Share Test contains the feature service BriceTest, and both Web Layers Share Test and Public sharing test both contain a map service called “World Hillshade”.
Each item can be moved around to create a visual diagram that fits the needs of the user.
The second is by using the “Browse Items” tool.
From the Home Screen, click on the “Items” tab.
Click on the tool: “Browse Items” tool.
A table will appear. Find the item in question by applying any number of custom filters, and then select the item whose dependencies you wish to view.
Click on the gray box with a downward arrow icon immediately right of the item’s name.
Using this method, only one item’s dependencies may be viewed at a time.
Then click, “View Item Dependencies”
A window will appear that will list the item’s dependencies and will give the user the option of exporting the dependencies to a CSV file or viewing them within the “View Item Dependencies” tool.
