A: Because Admin Tools for Portal requires a build custom-tailored for and professionally installed to the user's portal environment (which is generally different for every organization), and because the build and installs are very time and resource-intensive, we We do not currently offer a "trial" of Admin Tools for PortalArcGIS specifically for ArcGIS Enterprise connectors.

For example, If you have separate Development, Pre-productionTesting, and Production Portalsenvironments, and you you would like to use Admin Tools for Portal ArcGIS on each of those Portals for Administration or content migration via cloningone for administration, three connector licenses would be required. If you also have an ArcGIS Online Organization, an additional connector would be required, as well.

A: Yes, but there are specific caveats, and best-practices to take into consideration when performing the clone operations. Please see our Knowledge Base articles regarding cloning. Additionally, you will need the appropriate license of Admin Tools for both the origin of the content as well as the destination where the content will migrate toAs of May 2022, Admin Tools 2.0 no longer supports the cloning operation. Backup My Org is now the recommended product to handle the migration of items, users, and groups from one organization to another. Q: What are the System Requirements for an On-Premises Install?
A: Admin Tools for Portal ArcGIS currently works in Windows Server (2008 2016 or 2012)later. Q: Where should Admin Tools for ArcGIS be if Installed On-Premises?
A: It is usually fine  fine to install Admin Tools for Portal ArcGIS on the same machine that runs the actual ArcGIS Enterprise. The application itself is very lightweight in terms of size and resources needed to run it. As long as the machine in question can "see" and connect to the Environments you would like to manage, Admin Tools should generally be able to be installed and run from that location.

Q: Can Admin Tools for ArcGIS be installed to the same location and machine hosting ArcGIS Server Monitor?

A:  Because Server Monitor takes over port 443, you cannot run Admin Tools on the same server with the default settings.
