This article details the process of obtaining the logs and from a Backup and/or Restore process within BackupMyOrg.
When troubleshooting, GEO Jobe Support will often request these logs and CSV record files in order to better understand the issue at hand and assist with the troubleshooting process.
\uD83D\uDCD8 Obtaining Retore Detailed Log Files and CSV Record Files
From the Home Page, click the “Logs” Icon
You will be directed to a page where you can select “Backup Logs” or “Restore Logs”
After clicking on “Restore Logs”, you will be taken to a screen that shows all of the restore actions undertaken by BMO.
Click “View” next to the restore action whose logs and CSV Record files you wish to obtain
You will then be taken to a screen that shows every Group, User, or Item that was restored in that action.
There are two buttons on the right side of the screen. They are “Export” and “View Log File”. You will want to click “Export”
This will begin a download process wherein 4 separate files will be downloaded.
They are:CSV File of all Restore Changes
A JSON File of Restore Entries
A Text file of the Restore Logs
A JSON file of the Scan Report
Place all 4 of these files into a .zip folder and send them to us, when asked for Restore Logs, CSV Records, and the associated information about the restore.
\uD83D\uDCD8 Obtaining Detailed Backup CSV Record Files
From the Home Page, click the “Logs” Icon
You will be directed to a page where you can select “Backup Logs” or “Restore Logs”
After clicking on “Backup Logs”, you will be taken to a screen that shows all of the backup actions undertaken by BMO.
Click “View” next to the Backup action whose CSV Record files you wish to obtain.
In the Upper right corner of the screen, there will be a button labeled “Export”. Click that button, and you will be prompted to download a CSV File containing the detailed records of every Item, Group, and/or User included in that backup action.
Send this file to GEO Jobe Support when asked.

Whereas in previous steps, you used the BackupMyOrg Interface, to obtain the detailed backup logs, you will navigate to the location where your backups are saved and look for the individual backup folder.
The location of the saved backups can be found a number of ways. They are:
When you are able to navigate to your backup folder in the assigned storage location, you will see a JSON file with the following name structure:
