After performing and install of Admin Tools for Portal, MongoDB will not start and gives an error such as:

The service is not responding to the control function (error 2186).

This issue is most commonly ran into when performing and Admin Tools for Portal install in a fresh server environment.

NOTE: This is most usually caused by not having a the most up to date version of the .NET Framework from Microsoft.

If you encounter this error, Please install .NET Framework 4.5.
